ENG 360 From Reason to Romance

This course surveys English literature from the Renaissance to the beginnings of Romanticism. Against the background of an age characterized by great wit and sentiment, drama, poetry, and the birth of the novel are studied through the works of major figures such as Donne, Milton, Congreve, Defoe, and Johnson.

Prerequisite(s): English Literature Core.
