ATR 255 Prevention/Assessment of the Lower Extremity Laboratory

1 Credit

This laboratory course for ATR 250 , Prevention/Assessment of the Lower Extremity, provides the student with up-to-date practical skills such as communicating with an injured athlete, observing signs of injury, palpating anatomical structures, evaluating normal and abnormal ranges of motion, and performing special tests to help in the diagnosis of injuries to the lower extremity. At the conclusion of this laboratory course, the student is able to perform all assessment techniques for the lower extremity. Other areas of study include gait, posture, and environmental concerns.

Prerequisite(s): ATR 100 , ATR 189 , ATR 200 , ATR 220 , and BIO 205 /BIO 215 ; concurrent with ATR 250 .
