ATR 550 Lower Extremity

3 Credits

In this hybrid course, the student gains a working knowledge of the techniques that are involved in preparing for competition as well as the evaluation of orthopedic and medical conditions related to the physically active.  The goals of the class are to provide the student with up-to-date understanding of the proper evaluation of the lower extremity and lumbar spine.  As a measurable outcome of this course, the student must demonstrate success outcomes (70% or higher) on all exams and written assignments.  Other topics of study include but are not limited to environmental considerations and the psychology of athletes.

Prerequisite(s): ATR 500  and ATR 505
