Accreditations, Status of Programs, and Memberships


Neumann University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2680; Telephone: 267-284-5000, Fax: 215-662-5501; or http://www.msche.org.

The baccalaureate Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. The Biology/Clinical Laboratory Science Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences; the Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education Program as well as the Secondary Teacher Certification programs in Biology, English, General Science, and Social Studies are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Accounting, Business Administration, Computer and Information Management, International Business, and Marketing programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Neumann University is a member of North American Society for Sport Management, and the undergraduate program in Sport and Entertainment Management is accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). The graduate programs in Education, Nursing, Pastoral Care and Counseling, Physical Therapy, Sport and Entertainment Management, and Strategic Leadership are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. The Pastoral Care and Counseling Program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and is approved as a CEU provided by the National Board of Certified Counselors. The Physical Therapy Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Neumann University is a member of North American Society for Sport Management, and the graduate program in Sport and Entertainment Management* is accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).

Neumann University is a member of the SouthEastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE). SEPCHE is a consortium of eight independent higher education institutions in the Greater Philadelphia region which engage in a collaborative approach to the challenges of higher education and work together to promote quality and efficiency of academic programming, student access, faculty development, institutional operations, and community outreach, through sharing a range of activities, services, technology, and information. Other members of SEPCHE are: Arcadia University, Cabrini College, Chestnut Hill College, Gwynedd-Mercy College, Holy Family University, Immaculata University, and Rosemont College.
