Accreditations, Status of Programs, and Memberships

Neumann University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2680; Telephone: 267-284-5000, Fax: 215-662-5501; or http://www.msche.org.

The baccalaureate Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is accredited by the Council for Social Work Education (CSWE). The Biology/Clinical Laboratory Science Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS); the Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education Program as well as the Secondary Teacher Certification programs in Biology, English, General Science, and Social Studies are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Accounting, Business Administration, Computer and Information Management, International Business, Marketing and Sport Management programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The graduate programs in Education, Nursing, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Physical Therapy, Sport Business, and Strategic Leadership are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and is approved as a CEU provided by the National Board of Certified Counselors. The Physical Therapy Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)

Neumann University is a member of the SouthEastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE). SEPCHE is a consortium of eight independent higher education institutions in the Greater Philadelphia region which engage in a collaborative approach to the challenges of higher education and work together to promote quality and efficiency of academic programming, student access, faculty development, institutional operations, and community outreach, through sharing a range of activities, services, technology, and information.
