SW 380 The Client Interview3 Credits
This course will examine the interview process within the framework of the social worker-client relationship and will prepare students for generalist social work practice with individuals. Students will learn and practice engagement, interviewing, and intervention techniques. Using case studies and simulated practice experiences, students will formulate case conceptualizations in writing and through discussion. The goal of this course is for students to feel prepared to proceed to field placement in their final year of study.
Prerequisite(s): SW 100 SW 210 SW 230 SW 250 or permission of instructor
