ECE 308 Math Methods & DI (Differentiated Instruction)

3 Credits

This course provides procedures, strategies, and curricular materials to introduce and reinforce mathematical concepts to early childhood and elementary students, including those with exceptionalities in special education settings. Students will have opportunities to plan, implement, and assess math instruction, align their lessons with the corresponding PDE standards, and differentiate their instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Math topics will include numbers and operations, algebraic concepts, geometry, measurement, and data and probability.

NOTE: There is a required field component (EDU 125 ) for this course. All students are required to have valid clearances to participate in field experience.  Students may not take this course unless they have been officially accepted to the Dual Certification Education major.
