ECE 402 School, Family, & Community Collaboration

3 Credits

In this course, students learn about the responsibility educators hold to partner with families in meaningful and culturally appropriate ways. Students learn how to create and sustain reciprocal relationships through engagement and collaboration with families that help students achieve their maximum potential. In addition, students will examine their core beliefs about family engagement, implicit bias, and the potential impact that takes place when teacher, student, and family are in alignment.

NOTE: There is a required field component (EDU 125 ) for this course.  All students are required to have valid clearances to participate in field experience.
