SPEC 222 Learning Disabilities & Intensive Interventions3 Credits
This course is designed for students to comprehend the academic, social, and performance needs of children with learning disabilities (LDs) and other related disabilities. Emphasis will be placed on the concepts of DI, UDL, RTII, LRE, inclusive learning settings, the continuum of services, specific interventions, and the ethical behavior of teachers. Students will determine and apply content and strategies to support students, including intensive reading, writing, & math interventions.
NOTE: There is a required field component (EDU 125 ) for this course. All students are required to have valid clearances to participate in field experience.
