In this course, students explore the moral dimensions of marketing and its broader impact on society. Topics include consumer privacy, truth in advertising, sustainability, diversity and representation, and the ethical challenges of emerging technologies such as AI-driven targeting, viral social media campaigns, and how trying to manipulate an audience leads to failures. Students analyze case studies where marketing decisions have led to ethical dilemmas and public backlash, developing frameworks for responsible leadership in their future careers.
