NUR 206 Health Assessment and Modalities

3 Credits

This first course in the nursing major combines the classroom and nursing skills laboratory. In the laboratory environment, students develop competencies required for beginning clinical practice. Basic techniques for gathering, analyzing, and documenting assessed patient data are emphasized. Students practice basic nursing skills required for patient care.

Laboratory/Clinical Requirement(s): (This course includes 28 laboratory hours.)

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the major; NUR 205 .
