Educational Studies is a non-certification option for students who wish to pursue work in fields related to education and child development.  Features of the Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Studies include an 18-credit special education minor with the opportunity to obtain an additional minor in any area of the student’s choice and the option for internships in a variety of educational settings.

Career options include work for education-related agencies or programs, including: YMCA; Head Start or other preschool programs that require education degrees, but not state certification; children’s hospitals or child welfare agencies; zoos/aquariums; children’s museums and children’s programs; and religious education programs (i.e., CCD or director of religious education in a parochial school).  The degree would also support employment as an education-based paraprofessional, educational lobbyist, curriculum writer, educational sales representative, etc.
