122 Credits Required for the B.S. Degree in Data Science and Analytics

Upon completion of the Major in Data Analytics the graduate will:

  1. Understand and articulate the value of large complex data sets for modern information businesses
  2. Be able to extract meaning and hidden patterns from large complex data taken from diverse sources and modalities
  3. Demonstrate proficiency with important data analytic and data visualization technology including spreadsheet tools
  4. Articulate and apply specialized data models in a business context.
  5. Design and develop databases and data warehouses using industry standard tools
  6. Design and build working computer systems to learn from inputs
  7. Be able to select and apply appropriate statistical techniques to address problems relating to large data sets

NU Core Requirements for Data Analytics Majors: 41 Credits


Electives or Minor: 15 Credits
