122 Credits Required for the B.S. Degree in Data Science and Analytics
Upon completion of the Major in Data Analytics the graduate will:
- Understand and articulate the value of large complex data sets for modern information businesses
- Be able to extract meaning and hidden patterns from large complex data taken from diverse sources and modalities
- Demonstrate proficiency with important data analytic and data visualization technology including spreadsheet tools
- Articulate and apply specialized data models in a business context.
- Design and develop databases and data warehouses using industry standard tools
- Design and build working computer systems to learn from inputs
- Be able to select and apply appropriate statistical techniques to address problems relating to large data sets
