Required for all Film Studies Minor Students

• CDM 301 Introduction to Film Analysis 3 Credits

Film Analysis Concentration

Students preferring the Film Analysis concentration will take three of the following courses and any two from the Film Production concentration:

• ENG 104 The Many Faces of Comedy 3 Credits
• ENG 220 The World of Drama 3 Credits
• ENG 276 Creative Writing: Scriptwriting for Theater and the Electronic Media 3 Credits
• ENG 303 Literature and Film 3 Credits
• ENG 326 Special Topics in English Credit Varies
• ENG 440 Diversity in Drama 3 Credits

• * NOTE:

  Other division program film analysis courses will be potentially be eligible for inclusion in this concentration upon syllabus review by the Communications and Digital Media and English faculty, such as PSYCH 270: Psychology of Film.

Film Production Concentration

Students preferring the Film Production concentration will take three of the following courses and any two from the Film Analysis concentration:

• CDM 115 Intro to Video Production and Editing 3 Credits
• CDM 380 Advanced Video Production and Editing 3 Credits
• CDM 410 Directing for the Screen 3 Credits
• CDM 465 Documentary Production 3 Credits
• THEA 240 Fundamentals of Acting 3 Credits
