Overview and Mission
The goal of the Instructional Coach Endorsement Program is to provide candidates with the skills to be effective instructional coaches and prepared to deliver job-embedded professional development with the goal of improving teaching and learning environments. The Endorsement program consists of 12 credits and can be completed alone or in conjunction with the Masters of Education. Candidates complete 45 hours of field experience with at least 15 hours within an inclusive setting. To receive the endorsement, the field experience must be completed and documented. This program endorsement documents knowledge in new and emerging areas where formal certification does not exist. The endorsement is added to a Level I or Level II teaching certificate. The program is offered online with field experience typically occurring at candidates’ place of employment.
Neumann University’s graduate program leading to the Instructional Coach Endorsement is consistent with, and driven by, the University’s Mission Statement.
