Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Acute Care Post-Master’s Certificate

The Post-Master’s Certificate as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner is designed for master’s prepared nurses, seeking specialization as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care (AGACNP). The certificate program builds on previous learning, integrating the knowledge and skills germane to the AGACNP who will provide holistic, patient-centered acute care to individuals across the adult age spectrum from adolescence to older adults. The course of study for the post-master’s students, with 33 credits of the Advanced Practice Core and Clinical Specialty courses, has the same student learning outcomes previously listed for the Master of Science Degree, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care Program, and is offered in an online part-time format. All current, practicing nurse practitioners will have a gap analysis completed by the Program Director of Graduate Nursing to determine the student’s individual plan of study.
