BIO 497 Practicum in Clinical Laboratory Science

7 Credits

Students participate in and are exposed to the daily routines of the blood bank, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, hematology, and clinical chemistry laboratories. Students are also introduced to laboratory math, study computer applications in the clinical laboratory, and participate in direct patient contact as part of a phlebotomy team.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 355 /BIO 365 , BIO 420 /BIO 425 , BIO 440 /BIO 445 , and BIO 470/BIO 475.
