NUR 206 Health Assessment and Modalities3 Credits
This first course in the Nursing major combines the classroom and nursing skills laboratory. Within the laboratory environment, students develop competencies required for beginning clinical practice. Basic techniques necessary for gathering, analyzing, and documenting assessed client data are emphasized. Concepts of the Neuman Systems Model are applied. Students practice basic nursing skills required for client care.
Laboratory/Clinical Requirement(s): (This course includes 28 laboratory hours.)
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the major; NUR 205 and PSYCH 212 .
