CBR 303 Cryptography

3 Credits

This course introduces the fundamental components of encryption. Topics include the history of cryptography, public and private key systems, hashing, and digital signatures, the development of the Advanced Encryption Standard, DES, 3DES, the use and functionality of Pretty Good Privacy, and the Secure Socket Layer. Technologies such as remote authentication (VPN), digital signatures and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) are also explored.
