NUR 405CL Adult Health III Clinical Practicum

This senior level clinical practicum course focuses on the application of the nursing process in the care of adults and older adults with complex multisystem needs and diverse backgrounds. Students integrate evidence-based knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment in providing nursing care. Students advocate and incorporate health promotion, disease and/or injury prevention in caring for adults and older adults with complex multisystem needs. Leadership strategies in communication, coordination of care, and collaboration are implemented in providing nursing care. Professional responsibility and accountability in providing nursing care is emphasized. This course includes 84 hours of such as patient care, laboratory skills and/or simulation.
