NUR 430 Nursing Care of Children and Families2 Credits
This senior level course integrates the art and science of nursing to the care of pediatric patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including their families, from diverse backgrounds. Evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning skills are addressed when examining health promotion, injury prevention, and management of illness. Issues unique to care of pediatric patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including their families, are analyzed with emphasis on growth and development. The course focuses on leadership strategies in communication and collaboration and the principles of health promotion, disease and/or injury prevention to provide safe care.
Prerequisite(s): ALL 300 level required nursing courses. Concurrent NUR 430CL
