NUR 306 Adult Health Nursing II2 Credits
This junior level course builds on previous learning that applies the nursing process to the care of adults and older adults with acute and chronic illnesses which are described as complex needs. Students apply evidence-based knowledge and clinical judgment in the nursing management of adults and older adults with complex needs. Health promotion, disease, and/or injury prevention in the management of care is emphasized and leadership strategies for communication and collaboration are a focus in providing safe and effective care. Students explore advocacy as it pertains to the needs of adults and older adults with complex needs.
Prerequisite(s): NUR 305 , NUR 305CL , NUR 330 , NUR 330CL and SCI 215 Concurrent NUR 306CL
