NUR 306CL Adult Health II Clinical Practicum2 Credits
This Junior level clinical practicum course applies the nursing process in caring for adult and older adults with acute and chronic health problems which are described as complex needs. Students employ clinical judgment in the delivery of safe and effective nursing care. Emphasis is placed on the practice and refinement of more advanced clinical and organizational abilities through psychomotor skills performance, and direct patient care. Communication, collaboration, coordination, and consultation are emphasized in providing care. Personal responsibility and conduct consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and University core values are stressed. This course includes 84 hours of clinical activities such as patient care, laboratory skills, and/or simulation.
