NUR 340 Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family

This junior level course builds on previous learning that applies the nursing process to the childbearing family. Students apply evidence-based care and clinical judgment in the nursing management of the childbearing family from pre-conception to post-partum. Health promotion and disease and/or injury prevention are emphasized. Leadership strategies to support communication and collaboration of care are a focus in providing safe and effective care.
