NUR 340CL Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family Clinical Practicum

This junior level clinical practicum enables students to apply the nursing process to the care of the childbearing family. Students apply the principles of advocacy, therapeutic communication, collaboration, coordination, and patient education as they provide care. Students demonstrate clinical judgment and apply evidence-based care to the childbearing family. Students engage in self-evaluation to determine strengths and areas of personal improvement. This course includes 84 hours of clinical activity such as patient care, laboratory skills, and/or simulation.
