NUR 440 Community Health Nursing

2 Credits

This senior level course integrates the principles of evidence-based practice and clinical judgment into the nursing care of specialized populations with diverse backgrounds in the community. Primary, secondary, tertiary interventions are integrated into the course content. Students examine the economic, sociocultural, and ethical influences on community health nursing. The course focuses on leadership strategies in communication and collaboration and the principles of health promotion, disease and/or injury prevention to provide safe care.

Prerequisite(s): NUR 405 , NUR 405CL , NUR 410 , NUR 430  and NUR 430CL   Concurrent NUR 440CL
