NUR 499CL Nursing Synthesis Clinical Practicum2 Credits
In this nursing synthesis course, students integrate the art and science of nursing into the care of groups of adults and older adults with multisystem complex needs. This immersion experience promotes students’ ability to integrate clinical judgment while incorporating the principles of health promotion, disease and/or prevention of injury in the plan of care. Students integrate leadership strategies to foster communication, collaboration, coordination, and consultation among the interprofessional health team members. Professional responsibility and accountability in providing nursing care is emphasized. This course includes 84 hours of clinical course activities such as patient care, laboratory skills and/or simulation.
